Court documents say Track Palin, the oldest son of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was arrested on charges related to domestic violence again.

According to the criminal complaint and supporting documents, Track Palin, 28, broke through a window of the house in Wasilla, Alaska, and scuffled with his father, Todd Palin, on Saturday night in a clash that stemmed from a family dispute over a truck.

"Track told him he was (going to) come anyway to beat his ass", said Wasilla officer Adam LaPointe.

Todd told cops that he had armed himself with a pistol and was prepared to "protect his family".

Track Palin told police after his arrest, according to the affidavit, that his father had pointed the gun at him, and that the son goaded his father to shoot him.

The Palin patriarch managed to make it outside, but was severely injured, suffering numerous cuts and bruises on his head.

Track Palin was arrested on Saturday and charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor reckless assault, and misdemeanor criminal mischief, the Los Angeles Times reports. As of this writing, he has not been released on bond and is still behind bars.

'They ask that the family's privacy is respected during this challenging situation just as others dealing with a struggling family member would also request'.

'Palin stated that he didn't know where she was and denied that there was a firearm involved, but did state that there were several spread throughout the residence, ' Kappler wrote in his report.

A woman who answered the phone at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer, Alaska, said Track Palin was listed as being held there as of Sunday evening.

The charges mark his second domestic-violence arrest in not quite two years.

No further information was provided to the Times. Representatives for the Palin family could not be immediately reached for comment. She said her son came back "different" after his year-long deployment in Iraq.

The argument got out of control and Track allegedly reached for his AR-15 rifle and began threatening suicide.
