Assassin's Creed Origins to Get "The Hidden Ones" Expansion

Assassin's Creed Origins DLC Assassin's Creed Origins to Get "The Hidden Ones" Expansion

The company noted these delays are courtesy of the development of Assassin's Creed Origins.

Assassin's Creed Origins launched a few months ago, and since then Ubisoft has released a lot of great add-ons for the game.

While previous content has been limited to combat events and various costume packs, this month marks the launch of The Hidden Ones. This is a premium DLC that sees Bayek exploring a new region and dealing with the Romans more directly. You'll now have a chance to earn pieces from the Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator, and Wacky packs in-game. "We are now investigating the possibility of implementing this option in a future title update". The original game does let players continue roaming around even after they have finished the main story, but the level of the enemies leaves little to no challenge for their gear, hence the clamor for a New Game+ mode.

In a post on their website more details for the upcoming title update as well as the expansion were revealed.

Ubisoft is yet to announce an official release date, but its expected that players will be able to re-enter the vibrant, lived-in environments of ancient Egypt by the end of January. Players will be able to face off against Anubis from January 9 to 16, and Sobek from January 23 to 30.

There's free stuff coming to Origins as well - a new quest to set the scene for The Hidden Ones' arrival, a Warden outfit from fellow Ubisoft game For Honor, and the return of two Trials of the Gods.
