Iran's Rouhani: West Will Regret Collapse Of Nuclear Deal

Iran pushes Europe to pressure US on nuclear deal Iran: We Can Produce Enriched Uranium in Two Days if US Pulls Out of Nuclear Deal
Glenn Montgomery | 08 March, 2018, 02:14

"Iran is no threat to anyone". The diplomat said he would raise the matter during his planned meetings with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and other senior Iranian officials in Tehran.

Last week, France's foreign minister said he believed Iran needed to address Europe's demands over its ballistic missile program or risk new sanctions.

Under the deal signed in Vienna between Iran and six world powers - the US, Russia, Germany, France, Britain and China, as well as the European Union - Tehran scaled back the country's uranium enrichment programme.

The president noted that the economic, cultural, political, social and particularly the military power of the Islamic Republic will never be used against other countries, adding "we do not boost our military power to attack another country". Trump's obduracy in killing the #JCPOA stems from the same risky imprudence.

Despite French leaders' criticism over the missile program, French companies, including oil giant Total SA, have entered into deals with Iranian companies. "Therefore, no one should be concerned about Iran's weapons, missiles or strengthening of its defense might", Rouhani stressed.

Rouhani blamed the US government for its attempts to sabotage that agreement sealed in July, 2015 between Tehran and a sextet formed by the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany.

That same month, an independent panel to the U.N. Security Council declared, "Design characteristics and dimensions of the components inspected by the panel are consistent with those reported for the Iranian designed and manufactured Qiam-1 missile".

Since taking office, Trump has accused Iran of committing "multiple violations" under the JCPOA and threatened to withdraw the United States from the agreement.

"We do not know in which language and tone we say that we do not want to negotiate the missile program and defense capabilities", Hosseini said in response to the French insistence.

Iranian President Rouhani said Wednesday. that no country needs to worry about the development of Iran's defence and missile program.

"Now they ask Iran to enter discussions on other issues".
