The No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 draft, Watkins spent the first three seasons of his career in Buffalo before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams a year ago.

According to ESPN.com, the three-year deal is worth $16 million a year, with $30 million guaranteed. Watkins will join Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt in what has the potential to be one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL.

It's been an offseason of overhaul for the Chiefs. He had 39 receptions for 593 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games with the Rams. For his National Football League career as a whole, Robinson has recorded 202 receptions for 2,848 yards and 22 touchdowns while already appearing in 43 regular-season games atop the highest level.

Expectations have been high for the former Tigers star, considering Buffalo gave up future first-and fourth-round picks to trade up five positions to draft him with the No. 4 overall pick in 2014.

Watkins provides another option for new quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who will succeed Alex Smith, once Smith's trade to Washington becomes official Wednesday.

But questions persist about Conley's health and long-term upside, and Wilson has agreed to a free-agent deal with the Miami Dolphins, leaving the Chiefs in the market for a wide receiver.
