Melania to stay at Mar-a-Lago ahead of Stormy Daniels interview

Basta Stormy Daniel's lawyer didn't break a sweat as he ran across New York City's Fifth Avenue on Saturday a day before his client is to appear on 60 Minutes Stormy Daniels says she was threatened over Trump revelations

Daniels and her lawyer say the agreement isn't valid, in part, because it was never signed by Trump.

The 39-year-old interviewed for a highly anticipated episode of 60 Minutes, set to air on Sunday, about her whirlwind relationship with the sitting president.

Clifford's attorney, Michael Avenatti, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that more details of the affair would come out on "60 Minutes", and said his office was checking out similar claims from six women who had come forward.

The White House has denied the affair took place.

Michael Avenatti, attorney and spokesman for Stormy Daniels, listens to reporters' questions during an interview at The Associated Press, Wednesday in NY. But first lady Melania Trump, who traveled to Florida with the president on Friday, is staying behind. In court documents filed last week, Mr Cohen said that Ms Daniels had already breached the contract at least 20 times and that he intends to collect at least US$20 million from her.

Daniels - whose real name is Stephanie Clifford - filed a lawsuit earlier this month in an effort to void a nondisclosure agreement she says bars her from speaking publicly about her alleged affair with Trump more than a decade ago.

Since then, Daniels has driven the news cycle with countless reports about her alleged affair. The government watchdog group Common Cause argues that the payment was meant to influence the 2016 election by silencing Ms Daniels and therefore was an illegal in-kind contribution to Mr Trump's campaign.

A Trump friend and an attorney for Daniels also sparred over the alleged affair on Sunday.

Daniels admitted to the Post that this current media fame has cut into her other interests. Two days after filing a lawsuit against Trump in Los Angeles Superior Court, he tweeted a photograph of himself with Daniels and journalist Anderson Cooper with the Twitter handle @60Minutes and no further comment.

The interview comes just after former Playboy playmate Karen McDougal claimed she also had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006.

Asked by 60 Minutes' Anderson Cooper why she's choosing to break her silence now, Daniels said she wants to defend herself. "Yes, I'm getting more job offers now, but tell me one person who would turn down a job offer making more than they've been making, doing the same thing that they've always done?"
