Steve Kerr: There's 'no way' Steph Curry is playing in first round

Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors ranks seventh in the NBA with 26.3 points a game and averages 6.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds a game Steve Kerr: There's 'no way' Steph Curry is playing in first round

Curry's absence will have little impact on the rest of the regular season, with the Warriors pretty much locked into the two seed in the Western Conference, now sitting 4.5 games behind Houston and 10 games ahead of Portland.

However even if that evaluation goes well for Curry, according to Steve Kerr, the Warriors All-Star point guard won't be playing in the first round of the playoffs. He has played only 51 games this season and is on pace for the second-fewest games of his career. The two-time NBA MVP immediately began hopping and then limping in pain.

Warriors fans will be happy once Durant is able to return to the court, as it means they'll have another scorer back in their lineup.

Said McGee: "I was just trying to block a shot, and I ran into him".

The Golden State Warriors are perhaps the only team in the National Basketball Association that can survive an injury to a star player and be relatively unfazed.

Sources told ESPN that Curry was seen leaving the practice facility on Saturday with a limp and carrying a "Game Ready" hot and cold therapy system for his knee.

The Warriors are hobbling as they approach the postseason.

To make matters worse, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant are all still out due to injuries suffered in the past few weeks. Green is probable for Sunday's game against the Utah Jazz; Thompson and Durant are both out.

The incident came in the third quarter of the Warriors game against the Atlanta Hawks.
