However, the CBSE had reportedly denied reports of the leak then. Faced with demands for action, the government is looking to tighten the paper distribution process through encryption where schools will be given a key to print papers a short while ahead of exams. As Ananya Sanyal, a student from Noida, said: "This question paper was not too hard, I knew answers to most of the questions".
The Delhi Police's Crime Branch has also begun investigating the alleged leak of the CBSE's Class 12 economics paper and registered a separate case in connection with the alleged leak of the Class 10 mathematics paper. The CBSE Class XII exam is still underway and will end on April 12, 2018 with HOME SCIENCE as the last paper.

From this year on, the government led by Yogi Adityanath initiated a slew of measures to curb illegal practices in the board examinations.

"How many more attempts will the innocent students have to make for the education board to do its job?" But board denied any leak. On the date of the exam, teachers were stunned to find that the paper being circulated had same questions as in the actual question paper.
