Manager Mike Scioscia expressed concern and general manager Billy Eppler discussed the possibility of extended spring training in an effort to help Ohtani adapt to the American style of the game. Three home runs in three straight home games was special, but who knew that his first trip to the mound in Anaheim would surpass his week at the plate?

Ohtani threw six flawless innings against the A's before Marcus Semien singled to left with one out in the 7th inning to break up the ideal game.
