Parents sue 30-year-old son to evict him from their house

Michael Rotondo eviction Parents in US sue 30-year-old son as he refuses to move out of their house

"That's outrageous", he said.

Rotondo said he will review his options to appeal, adding that he might seek a stay of the eviction order.

After that failed, the Rotondos tried paying their son to leave.

"I really just want to get out of the situation", he said.

A polite but firm letter from Michael Rotondo's parents asking him to move out. "I don't think trying to destroy somebody is tough love".

A letter in a more harsh tone was sent over a week later, telling Michael he will be evicted from the home effective immediately.

The family's home in Upper State New York. He also ordered adult protective services to investigate, expressing concern about what was going on.

Though he claimed to have his own business, when asked what that business was by reporters.

So now, a court ruling is forcing him out, and he's complaining about his parents.

Michael Rotondo has made headlines around the world after it was revealed that his mum and dad submitted official eviction notices for him to leave, offered to support him financially and even got the courts involved.

Reached by phone Tuesday, Michael confirmed he's still bumming it at home, and would not elaborate on the nature of his business.

Michael asked the court to dismiss the request. And I'm expecting that I will be able to. They've got nothing on Michael Rotondo.

As Rotondo spoke, his parents sat across the courtroom, behind their attorney.

The letters included in the petition illustrate their rising frustration.

While in court, Rotondo refused to directly speak to his parents and argued with Greenwood for a half an hour that he was entitled to an additional six months before eviction, citing a legal case he found on the internet that appeared to back his claim.

Rotondo also says he's locked in a custody battle with his son's mother - and that his parents' demands for him to find a steady paycheck threatened his ability to waive court fees, according to The Daily Mail.

Maters soon after continued to digress, with Rotondo explaining how his parents stopped providing food for him, along with cutting off his cellphone (don't you hate it when parents act like parents?).

On Feb. 2, his parents wrote him four sentences demanding "that you must leave this house immediately" and giving him two weeks "to vacate".
