Arsenal are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential deal for teenage centre-back Stanley N'Soki, according to a report.

The Sun says the Gunners academy product has snubbed interest from Lazio and will sign a new five-year contract worth around £70,000-a-week.

"But we're yet to come to an agreement so that's something that my agent and the club are discussing to try and get something done".

In a recent interview during the club's pre-season tour, new manager Emery stated that he hopes and believes that Gazidis will stay at the Emirates: "I speak every day with him".

Arsenal begin their Premier League campaign at home to champions Manchester City on August 12.

"I think all the players are really looking forward to this season and hopefully we can hit the ground running right from the off". He oversaw the departure of Arsene Wenger and hiring of Emery in May, having previously brought in two more senior figures in recruitment head Sven Mislintat and Barcelona's former sporting director Raul Sanllehi during the course of last season.

"It's always hard when a new manager comes in, for him to get his ideas across to the team and for it to just click straight away, but hopefully that will be the case".

The 53-year-old has been Arsenal's chief executive for almost ten years and played an integral role in the appointment of Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger's successor.

"Obviously we would like to keep all the best players with us".

"It happened many times during my career so that's the way it goes", said the Czech, ahead of Thursday's pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid in Singapore.
