President Trump rallies support in Tampa

The president is expected to discuss Congats to Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis on the creepiest ad of the year

At a rally in Tampa, Trump praised DeSantis as "a tough, brilliant cookie" and predicted a win in his race against Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam in the state's August 28 Republican primary.

Trump will first stop at a Tampa high school.

"Which is why the time has come for voter I.D., like everything else".

Expected to be a campaign rally for DeSantis and Senate candidate Rick Scott, Trump likely will stump as well for his own 2020 re-election. "I've kept my promises".

Trump, almost two years on from his shock election win, presented himself to his closest supporters Tuesday as exactly the same outsider voice of the forgotten man and scourge of political correctness who romped to victory in 2016. "That's a big one", said Trump, adding, "Democrats want to raise your taxes, they want to destroy your jobs, they want to crush our industries with crippling regulations".

While Governor Rick Scott was scheduled to appear with the president this afternoon, he has drastically curtailed both his appearances and praise for Donald Trump since the U.S. Senate race began heating up. Among other things QAnon promotes is the notion that leading political and Hollywood elites are involved in a pedophilia ring and that leaders of the federal government's "deep state" have tried to kill President Trump. "You go out and you want to buy anything you need ID, you need a picture", Trump said at a rally Tuesday night in Florida.

One of the early protesters was Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Florida billionaire Jeff Greene. And a Tampa Bay Times reporter said the same.

Acosta was later heckled live on air by Trump supporters who shouted "liar" and "CNN sucks".

Meanwhile, Trump said thousands who couldn't get in were watching outside on TV screens.

The president's comments suggest he continues to believe that an election-season showdown over immigration would fire up his base and boost his party's chances of holding power in Congress.

Some Trump loyalists were furious at perceived contradictions in the Koch network's behavior and anxious that it could complicate the president's 2020 re-election. "It doesn't help us right now". "Cause the Democrats are not voting for what we want to do, and they're not voting and allowing our values to take place in our country".

Tuesday marked Trump's 36th rally in the Sunshine State.

"I've never been as angry and despairing and dismayed as I am with the election of Donald Trump", said Miliner.

Trump's animosity toward the Koch brothers, like so much of his anger toward conservative heavyweights, stems from the influential donors' pointed refusal to support him in the run-up to the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump boasted about second-quarter economic growth of 4.1%, said his tariff war was reviving American steel making, warned that America would no longer be a "puppet" and be ripped off by its allies, vowed to stand up for the National Anthem and beamed as the crowd chanted its anti-Hillary Clinton anthem, "Lock her up!"
