Marco Rubio Calls Alex Jones a Clown: ‘Don’t Touch Me Again!’

Twitter is permanently banning right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his "Infowars" show for abusive behaviour, a month after several of its Silicon Valley counterparts did so. Jones had a "heated exchange" with a reporter, and made a decision to stream it on Twitter.
Twitter previously had suspended Jones for a week after he broke site rules against violent threats.
Twitter had prevented Alex Jones from posting on his account for a week last month. However, according to a report by The Daily Beast, Twitter confirmed that one of the videos that violated its policy was an InfoWars video posted to Jones' Twitter account.
The video in question shows Jones shouting at and berating CNN journalist Oliver Darcy for some 10 minutes during congressional hearings about social media.
Twitter also said that it "will take action" if in the future it discovers other accounts being used to get around the ban of Jones and InfoWars.
At one point he badgered Rubio as the Republican answered reporters' questions in a hallway.
It came at the conclusion of a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing at which Dorsey and Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg testified in a largely collegial atmosphere where the executives and senators spoke of the need for further efforts to thwart foreign influence campaigns on social media. Some of the parents of the victims have sued Jones for mental and emotional distress.
Darcy claimed that none of those statements by Jones were true. "I'm asking you not to touch me again", Rubio said.
Jones says his "InfoWars" shows, which are broadcast on radio, YouTube and other platforms, reach at least 70 million people a week.
Twitter's first punishment was minor compared to the repercussions that Jones and InfoWars faced from other tech companies just days before. Thus far, efforts to hold Jones accountable to the community guidelines of sites he leveraged have resulted in a almost 50 per cent loss of viewership to Infowars.
Jones was live on Twitter's Periscope service the whole time.
"You're not gonna get arrested", Rubio said.
Jones is now active on Facebook; his suspension there recently expired.
