Chiefs receiver Chris Conley praises message of Nike's Colin Kaepernick ad

Jerry Falwell Jr. Reconsidering Liberty University's Relationship with Nike Nike releases new ad featuring Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James, Serena Williams

On the season's opening night, the president took another blow at Nike's decision to use Colin Kaepernick, former 49ers quarterback, as one of the faces for their "Just Do It" campaign.

Woods, who has been with Nike since turning pro in 1996, praised Nike for doing something "beautiful" and "special".

"It's a attractive spot", Woods said.

"If people say your dreams are insane, if they laugh at what you think you can do, good". "It's a handsome spot and pretty powerful people in the spot".

Nike has sponsored Kaepernick since 2011 and the advertising campaign marks the 30th anniversary of its "Just Do It" slogan.

It's narrated by Kaepernick, who launched the movement to take a knee during the national anthem before NFL games to protest racial inequality and police brutality.

Nike has always positioned itself as an edgy brand, willing to innovate - and that is perhaps why they have been the first to put a foot forward in this issue and support Kaepernick's crusade.

Woods has been a big part of Nike Golf through his 14 major championships, no moment more indelible than when his chip shot on the 16th green at the Masters hung on edge of the cup for two seconds - with the swoosh facing the camera - before dropping.

Iguodala, a long-time Nike athlete, has never been shy in speaking about social issues, and this isn't the first time he's shown his support for Kaepernick and the brand and what they stand for. Some fans responded to Kaepernick's sponsorship deal by cutting or burning gear with Nike's signature swoosh logo.

After Beto O'Rourke, the US representative challenging Cruz, drew national attention for his defense of NFL players right to demonstrate, Cruz and the Texas Republican party pounced, blasting O'Rourke for being out of step with Texas and tying him, remarkably, to former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who tweeted in support of Kaepernick earlier this week.

"Honestly I don't know what the National Football League is doing from".

While many others applauded Nike for taking a risk to make a statement about racial injustice in America.
