Israel says its actions are necessary to defend the border and stop infiltrations and attacks, which it accuses Hamas of seeking to orchestrate.

The announcement follows Israel's expansion of a fishing zone off Gaza's coast.

According to the spokesman, they were burning tyres as well as hurling rocks and explosive devices toward soldiers and at the fence between Israel and the blockaded Palestinian enclave.

"Israel's continuous campaign of excessive and indiscriminate violence against the people of Gaza has persisted with impunity and has been emboldened by the United States administration's strategic alliance with Israel", she added.

The committee is technically independent from Hamas, but includes representatives allied to the Islamist movement.

The Israeli military said the teens had attempted to damage the border fence and "were apparently involved in placing an improvised explosive device" near it.

The Gaza Strip faces a severe electricity shortage, high unemployment and lack of clean water, among other humanitarian concerns. They died in the context of an "Israeli air raid in the southeastern part of the Gaza Strip".

Hamas will also act on limiting the participants in the marches at a distance of 500 meters far from the border.

The death raises to seven the number of Palestinians killed as a result of Friday's demonstrations when thousands approached the border fence.

The violence came to an end after Islamic Jihad, the Palestinian militant group that launched the rockets, said it had agreed to an Egyptian-brokered truce.

Meanwhile, a senior Egyptian security intelligence delegation arrived in the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening in a fifth visit within the last couple of weeks to speak with Hamas leaders on restoring calm in the Gaza Strip.

Both groups praised Egyptian and United Nations efforts to broker a deal.

The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a special situation report, which showed that 14 Palestinians, including four children, were killed and 1,434 were injured by the Israeli forces in the past two weeks in Gaza.

Israeli snipers have also maimed hundreds by aiming at their lower limbs in a bid to incapacitate them, according to rights groups.
